Caste System
The caste system in India has been used for many years now and most of its values have remained almost the same. The caste system is said to keep an order and peace among people. The five different levels of the caste system are as follows from highest rank to lowest Brahman, Kshatriya, Vaishya, Shudra, and Harijans. The Brahman is a priest, the Kshatriya is a ruler, warrior, or landowner, a Vaishya is a merchant, a Shudra is an artisan or agriculturalist, and Harijans are untouchables like rat catchers.
